The Children’s Haven celebrates the opening of its new playground with the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, sponsors and supporters.

Regarding the playground renovation, Executive Director Marcie Smith said: .

“Our Board of Directors is committed to being good stewards of the dollars invested in our organization and we could not be prouder of what this funding built for our county’s children in foster care. We know this playground will bring joy, promote safety, encourage fun, and preserve dignity,” she added.

Board Member Gary Sullenger was recognized for his board leadership in chairing the playground renovation committee.
The Board of Directors and staff dedicated the playground in honor of Executive Director Marcie Smith.
A bench was dedicated in honor of CASA volunteer Carl Brooker who has trained 99 CASA volunteers through 5 training classes in 3 years.
