The Children’s Haven Adult Prom returned to Canton Feb. 7, hosted in a new location in Canton. This year’s event was held in the Big Tent at The Mill on Etowah and was the largest guest list with close to 340 community friends and partners in attendance. The event raised a total of more than $80,000, The Children’s Haven reported.
Prom Court members were nominated by attendees and community members and selected by a committee. The Prom Court couples raised funds for The Children’s Haven. Prom Court Couples were: Moira and Dakota Botts, Kristi Estes McGee and James McGee, and Jennifer Warner and Jud Waites.
Kristi Estes McGee and James McGee were crowned the 2026 Queen and King. Together, the four couples raised over $17,000.
The funds raised support The Children’s Haven, a nonprofit promoting the health and happiness of children impacted by abuse and neglect.
“We are deeply grateful for the incredible turnout of community partners, business owners, volunteers, and friends who made the evening such a success. The energy in the room was truly contagious, and the support for our mission was inspiring. Funds raised from this event directly support our four programs, and in light of recent federal funding cuts, this community support is more vital than ever. We are sincerely thankful for the generosity and commitment shown by everyone involved,” shared Michelle Meek, Director of Community Engagement.
